Item four on Mr Rigg's list of necessary steps for success in the last pastime is - Procure some bees.Sherlock's equivocal relationship with women is examined, and the author gives cogent advice, in a ponderous tongue in cheek style, on how to manage siblings and children a la Holmes.Think of this book as an expansion of Watson's comments on Sherlock's character and accomplishments - and the voids in his learning - in 'A Study in Scarlet'.The author adds a useful Wit and Wisdom of Sherlock Holmes section in an appendix. A fun book, in a genre Mr Riggs calls pop nonfiction. less
